You were and are, as far as I am aware, one of the most universally beloved and respected profs at KF. This says something special of both your character and your skills as educator, given that your views and perspective are quite far from those of the median KF student. If you decided to apply for tenure, I am sure that 100s of former students would offer their support (though not sure to what extent this matters). Very few profs that I could say this of.
